Driving Days 4
Oh, the Places We’ve Seen....

Mississippi waters

That’s a battleship out there.

These might provoke battles.

I think this is Louisville, Kentucky. And the next.

And they all flew by. We are stopped in some place past Indianapolis.
Passing through so many kinds of places:

So many skylines.

Inktober and Stuff
Nothing super fun to see...
I've been doing a lot of cleaning in our apartment (It seems some mice moved into our oven while we were on our trip. Oh, joy.) dabbling with ink and pens for Inktober, and trying to get some more hiking in before the weather turns cold. Also, applying for a new second job, and working the few hours my other job can spare.

Museum Visit Encore
Hello from Colorado

The famous Three Graces

This photo is terrible, of a small painting under glass, but the expression is perfect: the painting is entitled “A Naughty Child.”

Queen Victoria herself, or a good likeness anyway.

The photo is through glass, but that is the museum experience. You can still see the amazing craftsmanship of the sculpture.

Putti contemplating mortality with some marvelous reflections in a mirror.
I am in the States now for family business, but here are some more pretties from my visit to the Victoria and Albert Museum a bit ago.

This is what one gives to one’s queen to celebrate her jubilee. Gold plated silver, from a military company.

Much Drawing From LIfe
While I was visiting with some of my younger sisters, I talked with them about drawing from life, and they showed me some of their work.
These were from Naomi:
And from Bethany:
There was one other one from Bethany, too, but apparently I lost the picture I took of it. :/
I drew this during my time in the area, using a regular pen to scribble down what I saw, like usual:
Well, it's officially Autumn, and I kind of want to try to do Inktober this year...We'll see how that goes, haha.
