A Little Nothing

Once again, I have hardly anything to show for the week.

'Tis a phone doodle in which the child actually turned out like a child and not like a deranged little old monster, haha yay

Still working on comics, and working, and doing other odds and ends of things.

I am wondering (again) if it is even worthwhile for me to post to the blog at all? I'm not in art school, and now I don't see myself going again, for anywhere from a really long time, to not at all. I do still have some Craftsy classes saved that we never got around to yet, but I don't know where I could squeeze in the time to do them with all this other stuff going on. That would create some shareable content, though, probably... I don't know, haha!

As it is, I obviously don't have the stuff to do Inktober this year like I wanted to. I'll probably do a couple of pieces, mostly doodly, but definitely am not making something with ink every day this month. I'm glad I was able to do it last year, though! It was fun, and something I'd really wanted to try to do.

Another Arrangement

A Basket

Preparations

Baptism Decorations

On this Sunday the Twins are to be Baptised. Afterward we are plan to have a celebratory dinner with Family. For this, some of us have assembled fall decorations. The stipulation was nothing alive that needed care, so we collected lovely weeds.

We went to Goodwill to get containers. In these we arranged said weeds, pods, sticks, moss, and leaves. To these we added sundry faux floral elements, bows, and bits. Thus:

The tall flowers are actually made from wood shavings on sticks. No need for water, and they still look pretty.

Laundry and Life Drawing

In the early evening between waiting for my laundry loads at the laundromat, I walked the couple of minutes to the grass by the courthouse to draw.

I didn't know what to draw at first but I had about 30 minutes each time before I'd have to go back to the laudromat, so I just started drawing anything. After I drew the tree, I decided it might be a fun challenge to try to sketch the moving cars. It was very challenging, as vehicles are not one of my stronger points already, and it was even more difficult when they were moving by and I had only a few seconds to put them on the paper.

It made me laugh. Some of the drawings were actually more like blind contours, because of how little I looked at the page compared to looking away at the subject.
