Too much time later, this is what it is. My children said, "That is a creepy baby, Mom," to which one appended, "But I like it," and another said unmentionables. The class directions are to do the painting of this sort, then make a soft doll from the figure. I think I will like the last part, but this painting did not go well.
On to other stuff.
Hmmmm... yes... it is a little... strange.
