In Andermatt, high in the Alps. The town is at the juncture of two crossing valleys. It is a major ski destination in the winters, but was fairly quiet at this time of year, before summer hiking season starts.
A church in town. |
Old houses and new houses. Some old houses are from the 1600's. |
There were a lot of bear figures. The area symbol is a bear with a cross. |
This is the local version of the Bremerstadtmusikanten. |
If you would like to buy a little place for yourself..... (The amounts are about the same as $$$) |
Grand views around the town. |
A very old stone church built in the 1200's and still in use. |
You get baptised at the entrance. |
Restored in the 1940's and now protected. |
That door is tiny, because people were tiny back then. |
Then onward, past the town..... |
......to see the landscapes. |
To be continued.
