Budapest 4

 We are Back

Late, but we made it. Here are more pictures.

A life sized bronze of an Arabian stallion that, in a lost battle, ran back to his stable, thirty kilometers away, and thereby warned the people there to take the valuable animals and leave before they would be captured.

This is a smaller bronze, very realistic, with leather and wood and metal harness in exact scale, and portraits of actual horses and their driver. The lightning is unfortunately from the back, but this was just marvelous, as were numerous other horse and livestock sculptures in the agriculture museum. The Hungarians have long been noted for their fine horses and cattle.

About how long ago was the Arabian Stalion Statue made?
