Pretty Postmarks
Still Arriving
Christmas Cards and Letters usually trickle in long past Christmas, especially this year with very slow mail.
Note the one from Christkindl, a town in Austria. A sweet relative “around seven corners” (not a close relative) took the trouble to go to this town to get us this postmark.
More Tiny Woodmen
About Thumb size
These are planned for a project upcoming.
Note on recent comments from me on previous blog posts: the site was being difficult so some wouldn’t post, some repeatedly posted. Thanks for your comments.
Note also: I may not post here next year....... life needs reorganizing.

Old Painting
From the year we moved into Vögeli (I think), about 26 years ago.
Anyway it was the first painting I did here. I picked nearby wild flowers and did individual studies of each.
Today this painting left the house, to go to the house of one of my children. Note complimentary colors and intersecting V shapes as the composition form.

Christmas-y
Bits and Baubles
In memory of a dearly departed sister-in-law - the little angel ball was hers.

Fourth Advent
The Tree is Up, Finally
But not entirely finished; awaiting a topper.
Countdown to Christmas.
Blessings on your week.
This post was supposed to go out on Sunday, but I had technical difficulties- like not being able to put pictures on this.
So here is a second try.
Eventually I made a topper, though it doesn’t look so good in place. But, it will have to do for now.

Dry Erase Schedule Board
My roommate and I like to keep our weekly work schedules on the wall in dry erase, and we recently made a new board because we accidentally broke the other one, haha!
It's just a dollar store picture frame with dry erase sticker paper over the glass, and the "permanent" Sharpie marker. Then we just use whiteboard markers for the writing that changes every week (not shown here). We each use a different color to keep things straight.
:)
(yeah, sorry for the bad lighting - it's been raining a lot ☺)
Merry Christmas to all! ♥

They are about five inches across, and good quality chocolate, despite the appearance in my photo.
I can attest to the good taste.

The House is Ready for Christmas
It took me several days, working all by myself, to get the house decorated in time for a Christmas party I am hosting this Saturday for my extended family of siblings.
Like Sarah, I prefer garlands of greens around the windows. I also put them above my kitchen cabinets with large pinecones. (Take a look also at the brand new range gracing my kitchen! It's Italian!)
This dining room wall has become my quilt display. I switched out the music quilt for this old one that reminds me of a poinsetta flower for Christmas.
My angel collection is displayed under the photos of our family's little "angels".
This is the first Christmas with our newly remodeled living room. I decided to arrange the village on the bookcase so that it would be at eye level for the little people that come here.
There is much going on in the Christmas village including a new bridal couple, a violinist, a baker, a car mechanic's garage, an ice cream shop, a bookseller....
The expanded size of the room makes it possible to comfortably have our tree displayed without blocking the exit door.
Ready for party guests! Now to make the food.....
We have snow on the ground this morning.
