We did house renovation work at son’s place, then in the evening we went to a friend’s wine tasting event. This was held outside, in his town, along an “ eco field” (an area not allowed to be cut until mid-June after flowers go to seed and birds and bunnies nest.) Meeting restrictions are still in place, with limits of four to a table (CovidVirus counts!) so the friend gave us a place on his porch, where we could all sit together privately.
Then we were served our choice of a menu of Earth, or Wind, or Fire, or Water foods.
Here is Wind with the first of many wine samples. Smoked meats, grilled bread, various fine cheeses, rucola, a marvelous dip with olive oil and lemon, and salted nuts.
Much wine later, we had dessert. You maybe can’t tell in the photo, but the Catalana cream was in flame.The fruit bowl was melon and tomato and mint - very interesting.
And quantities of wine went home with us. Come visit!
