Inside the Church (continued)

The current church building is a more recent construction, connected to the old sanctuary and the cloister. It consists of a simple nave, three side chapels, and the chancel, under the altar of which, it is said, are the Saint’s bones.

In the Baroque period, all the original medieval paintings were whitewashed over, but after a restoration some were recovered.
