Next stop was Bern, to meet soldier son for dinner. We took the scenic route.
No, not real. It was a bronze foundry, worth checking out.
Arrived.
The church isn’t really falling over.
We parked in a neighborhood with many large, old villas. This one is something of a hodgepodge of traditional Bernese and a sea captain’s perch.
And this is Bern, capital of the country. St. Peter’s church here has the tallest steeple in Switzerland, at 330 feet. It was finished in 1893, but the church has been there for centuries in various forms.
