A perfect halo surrounded the moon tonight. If you look closely you can see the circle some distance from the glow of the moon going just behind the tops of the trees.
There was a small greenish light - to the left of the fir tree here - that moved upward as I was taking pictures. The tiny bright light within the circle did not move.
Note the change of position of the greenish light, now above the fir tree.
