Upon entering, you see this historic sculpture. It’s supposed to be a she-bear. It was cast in the 2nd century in either Greece or Tome, a thus helped elevate the status of Charlemagne and his court, by connecting him to the ancient empires. The left leg was replaced in the 19th century. Everyone who goes by touches it.
