Sigh.... I have always done this style of painting. And these are not even good ones, just half way between tight rendering and washy. In doing the hundred, I was trying for a looser watery technique, but it doesn't seem to be coming. I want to delve into techniques more, someday, when I have time.
Yes, I know you were trying to get more watery and break away from your typical style, but as you've reverted what I see is an even better rendering of the realistic tendencies you have and just better control and technique in general. So you apparently can't force what doesn't come naturally?
Wow. I can see your watercolor technique getting better right before my eyes. Your hundred practice pieces are making a difference.
