This was a business gift. When I finally brought it out of the cooler dining room, into the warmer kitchen by the wood stove, it perked up and opened. Sensitive tropical natives!
This is how the bulbs come these days: waxed on a wire stand, not in a pot. “Do not water,” they say. OK.
It will be gorgeous. I've seen bare bulbs too. My house is so dry I don't know how they could bloom without water. I haven't had an amaryllis in years though. Enjoy! (That orchid may rebloom too- leave the stem)
