This little bird with a big beak is often seen in paintings of the Virgin Mother and Child, as a symbol of dealing with hardships and troubles. It is apt for some now.
Now let's see if this post actually publishes this time. It is what I tried to do on Monday.
You're up to 80?! Wow... Gorgeous little bird.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a water color wash and a pastel bird :)
ReplyDeleteHello again, Katie. Busy seems to be an understatement....
ReplyDeleteActually next watercolour coming...
The watercolour on this was the tiny, detailed stroke sort, not fluid washes. This sort of defeats the purpose of my doing this medium, so I need to get back to washes.
I love this piece, and either didn't know or had forgotten about the info you included on your feathered subject -- interesting! :)
