Garden Show

Winter Returns

Just as the temperatures drop again and rain turns to snow, garden season starts. At least so says the calendar with SPRING arriving this week and seeds and bulbs arriving in the mail. I got the first seeds started in trays yesterday, now sitting warm and comfy by the wood stove.

Before that was an excursion to the annual Garden Show in Zürich. In subsequent posts I will share some photos, because flowers and greens are artistically inspiring.

All the following pictures are of the garden show

We noticed that "Fences" of pods or sticks are the trendy thing for floral arrangements

  1. I would love to see that garden show! It looks more like a floral arrangement Show though....

We intended to go to the Portland garden show last month but got busy and forgot. That garden show has large areas (in a huge warehouse type building) that is transformed into numerous outdoor landscaped scenes including ponds and waterfalls and very tall (often blooming) trees as well as garden sheds, bridges, pergolas and dining areas with fireplaces, etc. Always spectacular and fun while it's still real winter.

  2. These pictures were only from the first few steps into the show. There was a floral display of "new arrangements." The rest of the show was as you described yours with all things garden and actual garden set ups. More pictures will follow D.v. of those.
