New Artworks

From Leah:

Pencil sketch

From Sarah:

We went to Luzern (English spelling: Lucerne), so I decided to make something based on the adventures of the day -- in a Scherenshnitt/paper-cutting-art inspired style. It's flawed, of course, but I'm pretty happy with it, especially since it was a spur-of-the-moment project which, as usual, turned out to be a little more complicated than what I'd planned on doing, haha. :D

Recreated in this piece are the Chapel Bridge (Kappelbrücke?), the Lion of Luzern monument, and the Church of St. Leodegar. We went to other places, too, but I didn't put everything into the artwork.

A Drawing Each

Mostly Paintings

From Leah:

Acrylic painting from life. I had helpful tips from an amazing artist and our host.

From Sarah:

Tried some different styles of Edelweiss doodles,

And threw some watercolors at a page, going for a galaxy type of effect. Not sure if I'll put lettering on it, or go with my original plan of doing a skyline silhouette. Or both. Or something else entirely. Whatever, it's kind of pretty, haha. :)

Bit of Art Things

From Leah:

ink candle

From Sarah:

Watercolor from life

And I was playing with a different drawing app that Duo Lingo suggested to me in an ad, haha:

It makes a time-lapse video of your drawing, too, which was a little bit neat:

I'm not sure how I like it yet, though. There seem to be a lot more options for how many layers you can use at once, and some other stuff, but there are more ads in the free version, so that's annoying. Eh, we'll see.
