Easter Remnant

Gone Now

More Flower Planting

To Add to the Spring Blooms

The primulas on the way out. The pansies are happy. The Calibrachoa are the new ones, for summer.

My tulips are out! This is a purple.

And the vinca/periwinkle/SingrĂ¼eni. I love these.

Auto-Action in Clip Studio Paint

I created my first ever auto-action in Clip Studio Paint -- an action that would create a new 800x10000 px webcomic page at 350 dpi, with all the beginning folders and layers that I usually make for each page individually, so that I can save some time NOT having to create every one of those layers on each new page as I work on my webcomic. :)

It took me a little less than an hour to figure out, and if you consider that there are usually about three pages per episode, and it takes me close to ten minutes to make all these layers each time I make a new page without this auto-action, I think it was well worth the effort.

the sixth try was the charm, ahaha

Now I can open my drawing program, go to the auto-action menu, double-click on my new auto-action, and BOOM! new page, new folders and layers all set up and ready for me to make a mess out of.

Ta-da! *trumpet fanfare*

I confess I was on the verge of tears with the silly high I got from completing this achievement... It was such a delightful digital-art-nerd kind of moment for me. Hahaha! So even if you are like 'wait, wut...?' I thought I'd share my excitement.

(On a little less exciting note, my sisters and I have reluctantly come to the decision to abandon our dog short-story comic. We just have too much to juggle with schedules and such between the three of us, and it was hurting our hearts not updating when we wanted to. This takes off some of the self-imposed stress, too, but it was still a really difficult choice to make, as we wished so badly to finish the project. We might pick it up again in the future, we might not; either way, it was a fun and educational experience that we don't regret attempting.)

Getting Ready

For First Grill of the Year

Tomorrow, after Church. Baking today. Breads, potato salad, rhubarb dessert, shortcake.

And while Mama baked, others took a 36 kilometer hike around Lake Zug.

And first night outside for my potted plants. Praying they will survive and harden off. Those potatoes have got to get in the ground.

Rainbow Unicorns

Long Promised

So, long before Easter, I promised a little girl some drawings that she could color. The wait got loooonggg, so today I did some.

More to follow.

Watercolor in Progress

Colors

I had a sheet with fairly random colors that I did awhile ago.

I thought about what to do with it, then decided to add a little figure. A mini painter of colors.
This is the first stage, painting some white over the background.

DIY Phone Case Design Craft

I doodled a design for the clear case on my phone this past weekend - a long-overdo not-as-important project on my list, but I was bored of the black on black look...

trace and cut, and then trim, trim, trim, until it is sort of correct

doodles in progress

and done!

I took the photos with the phone, so I couldn't really show you the design inside the case (technically, could have used a mirror I suppose, but you get the idea haha). If it all heats up too much during long use, I will remove the piece of paper, because I am paranoid about electronics combusting. XD

Spring? No!

Winter Again

So, I started a spring scene yesterday, when it was bright and sunny.

But this was going on all day today.

One takes the blessing of the wine very seriously in Wallis.

More Winter

And Still Easter

Outside

Inside

Some potato plants really want it warm up, so they can go outside.

And in the mail today, along with a baby gift, and cards, were some handmade pretties for me from my sister.
Isn’t it nice to get actual mail?

Back to Winter

After a Sunny Easter

Note the blossoms on the pear tree in the foreground. They should survive. But some daffodils did not.
