All Blooming

Overnight the other two blooms opened. I now have a burst of scarlet red in my studio.

Look What Opened 

Just in time for Valentines Day. This as a gift plant from two Christmases ago. It is very pleasing in the dreary months. 

Frosty, Frosty

Cold Again

The gloom has turned chilly, and everything is covered in frost. 

The greenhouse needs its little candle heater to stay above freeezzzzing. 

Water outside froze.

But not in the fountain, because it is always running.

You can see how the retained heat in the rock protected part of the moss from freezing. 








It’s all quite pretty, if one’s sap is resistant to being frozen. 

Red, Red Roses

Early, but….

Roses are wonderful anytime, and Valentine’s Day is coming quickly. 

My love’s like a red, red rose

That’s newly spring in June;

O my loves’s like the melody 

That’s sweetly played in tune.
