More Flowers and Greens and Accessories

The companies with outdoor furniture alway have gorgeous centrepieces on their tables, so I take ideas from them.

The show theme this year was urban gardens - balconies, terraces, and small spaces. The emphasis was  on outdoor living.

Some of the garden constructions were quite elaborate.

Many artistic creations were presented.

And some not so useful, just for looks.

Winter Returns

Just as the temperatures drop again and rain turns to snow, garden season starts. At least so says the calendar with SPRING arriving this week and seeds and bulbs arriving in the mail. I got the first seeds started in trays yesterday, now sitting warm and comfy by the wood stove.

Before that was an excursion to the annual Garden Show in Zürich. In subsequent posts I will share some photos, because flowers and greens are artistically inspiring.

Some floral exercises didn’t turn out very well, like this one.....

....so they got painted over to be used for mixed media projects, someday.

Instead, I am enjoying the promises of spring in the first real flowers.

This one was intentionally left very undefined around the mountains. It was a for a Swiss person. It is quite small, roughly 7x9 inches.
