We will likely be gone -again - for Easter and immediately after, so I want to enjoy the season ahead. Usually in Lent we have no decorations out, and spring only comes with Holy Saturday, when the house gets arrayed in color and flowers. But that was when children were in the home, to teach educational lessons about solemn observances. I still would, if we were settled and “normal,” but we are not, so….
A few bits of spring have sprung….
…. despite snow coming and going and coming and going.
The willows feel spring in the air.
And my first seeds are planted in seed trays. An array of flowers are awaiting transplanting for summer, but last night we had a gravelly sort of snow, so it’s too early to put things out. Officially we are supposed to wait for the “Eisheiligen” - the Ice Saints of midMay, but I nearly always get stuff out before then. We shall see how that goes this year.
