Advent Activity

How Many Angels?

How many angels are in the Christmas story? It is a tricky question.

Here is a process to make angels to float around your house.
I used the amazingly useful toilet paper roll. These can be painted, glittered, and decorated. Or use strips of heavy paper, or paper grocery bags. If you want them painted, paint BEFORE cutting. Then let dry, or your scissors will be ruined, or at least colorful.

Cut three thick rings, and four thin, and one medium left over.

Glue the three thick rings together so the middle one is a little lower than the side ones.

Glue the thin rings in pairs.

Cut the last piece in half.
Glue one half into a circle.

Bend tabs on the remaining piece.

Glue all together in an angel form, with head, torso, wings on torso, and skirt.
Add a string and hang. And make as many as you found in the Christmas story.
That will keep you busy for a while.

Bonus question…
One of the angels has a name. What is it?
In how many places is he mentioned in the Bible? That is a tricky question, too.
