Rigi

Hike

After our trip to Georgia, it has been non-stop busy, so no posts here. Lots of preserving of harvest -

More packing of boxes to hand over the family home to the younger generation.
And now we have the Colorado Contingent of the family finally here for a visit after almost two years of not seeing them. Little ones grow a lot in that time. It is a tradition among us that young ones hike the Rigi by two years old, so off we went, after a lovely worship service together in the morning. So nice to have everyone singing with gusto together.

So we had 1 1/2 year old, almost-2-year-olds (twins), and a three year old. They were troopers. They walked good portions. Yes, it took longer, but traditions are maintained.

The weather was perfect.

Cow bells added alp music

Paths were negotiated.

And The Cross was achieved. This is the site of much family history, so it necessitated a stop for family photos.
Then to the top for dinner and a stroll to the chapel. All in all a lovely day.
