These turned out better. More iron, vinegar, and organic matter in the water, and longer simmering time, seemed to help. The bright yellow or orange colors are from onion skins.
These, above and below, were facing sheets using the same leaves and onion skin. The underside of leaves print better than the tops, which have a protective coating.
