Museum of Anthropology

 Ancient History

This was a fascinating tour of pre-European history. But, from the remarkably competent sculptures, it is highly evident that many ethnicities and races of people made up the various tribal groups of the ancient people of Mexico. Note in the following photos Negroid, Asiatic, Mediterranean, and even European facial and body features. The world’s people had gone everywhere, as God had commanded.

First we had to get there. From our bookstore breakfast, we walked along a main boulevard of Mexico City. Much decorating has been done for the Days of the Dead festivities this weekend. Pink is a favored color.

All over one sees evidences of earthquake damage.

Color and more color.

In a park

Local architecture comes in an array of styles

A grasshopper

A remarkable tree truck, all twisty and intriguing.

The fence around the extensive museum grounds.

Getting closer

We arrived

Get tickets and step out into the large courtyard

That is one wing of three

Next, stepping inside….
