Intermezzo, Music

In Zürich

For Lent, on this Passion Sunday, it was good to go hear a concert of sacred music. It is art for the soul. The people in the small orchestra and middle-sized choir are all volunteers who simply love music and put in the innumerable hours of practice for a single performance. They do about three concerts per year.  They are always of excellent quality. This is art from the heart.

This weekend is Sechseläuten, but unfortunately I won't be going this year. But tomorrow think of exploding Böögs, flowers and horses and costumes, and the end of winter. (You can watch it live if you look it up.)

The watchers keeping order for tomorrow. Thousands of people will flood the city. and hundreds of horses, and millions of flowers.

* Of note for the Latin scholars: all the music is in Latin, another good reason to study the language, to have some understanding in concerts. (There was a translation - into German.)

* On a different subject, I am delighted to say that my studio in Singrüeni is ready to move into, and the first books went on shelves this weekend. Now for furniture..... then I will share pictures.
