To Texas

 Family Wedding

This past weekend saw a family get-together of many of us who have not seen each other for a while, and then a wedding of my Godson/nephew to a beautiful young lady in a lovely ceremony and reception. Many of us worked to help get it set up - and taken down afterward.

On Sunday we gathered at church for a marvelous Reformation service, with choir, handbells, and a very accomplished organist. Afterward, at the hotel, which was center of operations and family gathering place, there was a Ladies Tea, with ladies in their finery and home made nibbles.

Then in the evening, the family of the groom put out a Texas Barbecue supper for us. They really know how to throw a party. They had smoked all the meats in the days ahead, and they were phenomenal! Plus side dishes and homemade desserts.

On wedding morning, Monday, some of us added flowers to wrist corsages.

Then off to the venue for set up.

The dinner tables, before the flower bouquets arrived.

And then it was time.
