A long but pleasant train ride brought us to Siena by evening. So our first look at the old city was in the dark (second time here for me, but first time at night). My photos are not all uploaded yet, so here a couple.
The Swiss part is always spectacular for views. We didn’t get much work done on the train ride, with all the looking out the windows. And we have seen these views a lot. Always great to see again.
We had a bit of time in Florence, so we toddled down a few streets.

Christmas decorations still up, but not lit. A few in other places were still lit.
Then on to Siena after sundown.
