Typically, I put decorations away after the last lighting of the Christmas tree in our Epiphany service. But things are a bit different now, with scattered family, and festivities held at places other than home. So some decorations,, elsewhere, came down last week after the New Year. But ours at home, being not extensive, and being also part of my winter decor, will stay up for some while longer - not all, but some. I do believe it is good to celebrate the full twelve days of the Christmas season, for liturgical reasons, and to inform the younger generations and uninformed others of the significance of why we celebrate. And, besides, why rush putting away Christmas pretties? We are losing so much of the significance of our holidays as it is, that some push back, in remembering origins and meaning, is in order. - SMB
When do you start putting away the Christmas? I’ll going to start today but will dismantle the tree last, probably Saturday.
