In Progess, Flowers

New Watercolor

With so many spring flowers out, and with paints out, one may as well paint some.

First, a drawing which gets lightly transferred to the watercolor paper

Add some background washes, carefully worked around the flower forms (no masking medium this time)

Initial color lay-ins....
More later.

  3. You know that when you don't actually have the nice thing you like, you can paint yourself some. Of course it is best to have resources from whih to paint, but under the circumstances, use pictures.
    When inspired, do!

  4. I rather miss the season's change. We have flowers year around and thus not the "thrill" of seeing new Spring blossoms!! But 'tis the way 'tis and I enjoy my flowers. My Gardenia is about ready to blossom - LOTS on there, too. (And I enjoyed the second round of Christmas cactus) Enjoyed YOUR flowers!
