Ladies' Tea

Tea Time

This weekend Mary organized a tea for the ladies of her church. Hats were required attire. They had a purse auction to contribute money for missions. They set beautiful tables with hand made tableware pockets. And it looks like they had a good time.

Note the sewn pockets at each place.

Doesn't that look appealing?

If I had a church, I would like to have a Ladies' Tea, especially with hats.
Well done, Mary. Thanks for the photos, Mom.

Today's Dinner

Today, sundry members of my family took a motorcycle drive to visit the Hallwyl castle. They found a book there about edible local wild plants and brought it home, so Maria could make us salad from what grows around here. She did. It was good, and likely brimming with health.
...and the main part of this picture is out of focus, but I have no other photo. The greens are the wild part.
Stefan decided we needed a special drink to go with it, so he concocted a marvelous punch with Limoncello and fruits. 'Twas delicious. The chicken, the beef, and the vegetable rice dish were mere accompaniments, all topped off with deep conversation and chocolate.

The Limoncello punch

Coming next: a medieval market.

  2. Weeds sure taste good if you douse them with enough dressing. Haha!

  3. Oh, I have done weed salads, too. Yes, plenty of dressing. :-D Now I usually just add bits of wild things to lettuce for flavor and variety...
