Twelfth Day and Done

On the Last Day of Christmas

On the Twelfth day of Christmas my True Love gave to me twelve drummers drumming.

Creative effort for today was looking at hundreds of upholstery samples to re-cover antique chairs. We are closer to choosing now, so the day was good, despite the very wintery weather and slippery mountain roads to get where we needed to go.

This will likely get used on something. The green is quite lovely.

This we like, but red is not in our interior palette.

A fine soft mohair

And many dozens more.....

These are fur upholstered chairs in the showroom. My Better Half found them quite revolting, but I think a daughter might like them.

And some people like bear rugs.... well, here you go.

Happy End of Christmas.

Tomorrow we celebrate Epiphany. Do we all have our King's breads and crowns ready?

  1. Happy Epiphany! I made a quick coffee cake this morning... so we will cut into that as soon as Daddy gets home for lunch. :-)

  2. I do like those fur-upholstered chairs, though I'd prefer brown fur and a simpler, rougher design to go with it. But I like the idea.
A bear rug should be a bearskin.
I wish the upholsterer had had the first green fabric, or the little red apples. I like my reading chair's pink roses less and less when I see all these other fabrics that would have been available.

  3. All the fabrics shown are available. But your roses look delightful in your library.
