Winter Robin

Finished Painting

Some days ago some of us started little acrylic paintings on canvas paper. I didn't get back to mine until this evening, and that was only to get it finished so I could put it away. This is what it became:

This was the first paint sketch from last week: roughed in, no legs.

Behold a floating bird. This is the first stage of painting tonight, adding some bright yellow tones, over which went many more layers of reds, oranges, greys and whites.

This is how it ended, with snowflakes.

Behold birdie with feet. (And I see now it needs a couple of tiny touches added to define some edges above the legs. That's for tomorrow.
