Finished Painting
Some days ago some of us started little acrylic paintings on canvas paper. I didn't get back to mine until this evening, and that was only to get it finished so I could put it away. This is what it became:
 |
This was the first paint sketch from last week: roughed in, no legs. |
 |
Behold a floating bird. This is the first stage of painting tonight, adding some bright yellow tones, over which went many more layers of reds, oranges, greys and whites. |
 |
This is how it ended, with snowflakes. |
 |
Behold birdie with feet. (And I see now it needs a couple of tiny touches added to define some edges above the legs. That's for tomorrow. |
Blessed Sunday.
I love it!
ReplyDeleteDid you spatter paint the snow flakes?
ReplyDeleteThanks. Yes, the snow is classic brush-tapping spatters. I covered the bird after the initial taps.
ReplyDeleteOh, what a cute little bird!
