Georgia, Day Five, Part Two

Afternoon

We drove further up the Military Highway, toward the Russian border - also called the disputed territory - to see some waterfalls. The road is a bit … um…. sometimes not there, with mountain up one side, and a drop off to a valley very far below. Trucks and traffic negotiate as best they can. You will be pleased to know we survived.

This is a good part.

We parked and walked the kilometer or so back to the falls.

There was a bridge again, so again I parked myself on a rock and painted a watercolor of the scene, while the others clambered over the rocks to the big and little falls.

My spot.

Waterfalls

The path to waterfalls.

So, the internet here is iffy. Thus, posts may not always get posted, or at least not on the day they happen.
And Day 4, which got lost, I will try to re-do sometime, because it was an adventure.

Thank you to those who made comments, on and off the blog site.

  1. Waterfalls are ALWAYS special, exciting and spectacular! I remember on our drive to Hana, Maui, where there were SO many and one in particular that many drove by! Was worth the stop!
