Georgia, Day Thirteen

Musicians

Today, after breakfast and a swim in the Sea for some, we went walking. What started as stroll on a short biking/hiking road became extended. First, here is what the hotel front looks like.

Getting to the walking path, we passed the activity area. It required exploring, of course.

ZIP line. It was in use when we returned later.

Two among us did this, and found it took a good bit of exertion. The day was very warm and extremely humid, so that added to the load, but even on a cool day, this would make a good military training exercise. Balancing, crawling, climbing wall, moving steps, etc.

Then we found the walk in the woods, with Narnian lampposts, and lots of log benches, each unique.

The end of the approximate half mile walking road, at the entrance to the hotel grounds.
But the was a pedestrian underpass at the road, and on the other side a MUSIC PARK.
A whole series of life size figure sculptures dotted the length of the park, each with a selection of the musician’s music to listen to.

So, here is a QUIZ for you.

Who is Who?
I will omit the native Georgians.

Well, there you go…

There were fascinating huge white trees with peeling bark, too. And the unique benches continued. And log sculptures were interspersed.

A dancer.

And these two

A swamp walk

We couldn’t figure out what critter this was intended to be. Your guess?

And some dashing local talent…

A singer

On our walk back, we followed a exhibit walk of Hundertwasser posters.

I can agree with the sentiment there.

Back at the hotel, in the lobby

Dinner.
What is called. Kebabs here. But don’t trade yours for it. Inside was just a roll of ground beef and pork. The outside toppings are pomegranate seeds and onions. Tasty, but not what we are used to.

Trout

A traditional dumpling with ground beef and LOTS of cilantro inside

Lava cake wrapped in marshmallow, hazelnut ice cream with caramel crunch.

And tomorrow we move on. Other adventures of cleaning woman,long-distance business-at-home discussions, beach towels, and laundry timing will remain unmentioned. But Things happen.

  1. Love this place. Did Maria know that the music park was there? That’s awesome! Wondered what the menu terms meant and involved. Dessert looks amazing though. Do they have help shortages also? Mary ☀️

  2. No, Maria did not. We got that information at the hotel and from looking around.
