And The Winner Is......

Drawing the Name

Dear  peoples, young and younger, we are gathered... no, wait, that's not the event we want.
We want to draw a name for the Lenten Cross Contest.
Nine creative people put their thoughts and hands toward a visual meditation on Christ's Passion, with marvelous results, as we have seen.
So today we let God pick one person to represent all in getting a token of appreciation for everyone's participation. (As one son said, "When you do a contest, you want to give everyone a prize." And he is right, but I simply can't, so we draw a name.) Equal chance for all.

The names went into the coconut shell.

A non-involved person shuffled the papers and pulled one out.

And the winner is...

Congratulations, Kat! Your cross will be heading to the States in April.

Most Creative

Now I would appreciate each one of you selecting which entry you thought was most creative. If you entered a cross, you get two votes: yours being first, and another. You can post your choices or send me an e-mail. Please add a word of what especially appealed to you in  your selection. I know it will be hard among so many special crosses. Let's do this by the end of Palm Sunday, tomorrow, your time.

Thanks to all who participated. We had good meditations.

  2. Congratulations! That cross is really lovely.

It would be helpful if you could do a recap of the nine, names and crosses, if you have time. It may be difficult to go through all the posts and find them all. If not, though, time is understandably short.

  3. Congratulations, Kat! I'm glad for you. I know you'll love Mom's wood-burn cross.

  4. Sorry about not doing a re-cap of entries yesterday. Sundays are busy days. This week is too. But thanks to all who voted. Results shortly.
