Baltics 10

Estonia

Before another upcoming excursion, here will be a few more posts on the Baltics.
This was a church ruin we stopped see. It belongs, still, to an Orthodox congregation, and was destroyed by the communists. The small group hopes to rebuild it sometime.

You can see the day light through the windows the roofless chancel.

It had beautiful stonework.

Walking in was walking out.

Looking up into the tower.

Church interior

Still inhabited

And flourishing

A sign nearby showed the former glory and told the sad story and remaining hopes.

Some people have suffered much and keep their hope. Admirable.

  1. How sad, but hope is good, too. Loved the little flowers!
